Policies
The school day begins at 8:15 AM for all students. Students line up at 8:10 AM and are escorted into the building by their teachers at 8:15 AM. Students are considered late if they arrive after 8:20 AM and should report to the desk outside the main office for a late slip.
Served in classroom at 8:15. Students are not permitted to bring outside breakfast on to school grounds.
School is dismissed at 2:54. Students will be escorted by their teacher to school yard where they will be dismissed. Students who are responsible for picking up and escorting siblings home should arrange a place to meet in the schoolyard. Kindergarten students will be dismissed from their classrooms.
The School District of Philadelphia has instituted a School Uniform Policy for all students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. Students are required to dress in uniforms, unless otherwise instructed.
Lingelbach School Uniforms:
- Khaki pants, shorts, dress, or skirt with a navy blue polo shirt with collar.
- Shirts must be tucked in.
- Navy blue, black, or white socks.
- Hoodies, jeans, and outerwear including: scarves, gloves, and hats are not permitted.
Lingelbach Gym Uniform:
- Students have the option to purchase a PE uniform from school OR they must wear their regular school uniform (see above). No exceptions.
- Sneakers MUST be worn on PE days or students will not be able to participate. (This will affect the student’s gym grade).
- Students will NOT be permitted to change into a PE uniform during the school day. Please come to school already dressed in it.
Shoes:
- Lace up or slip on shoes or sneakers that cover the entire foot.
- Sandals, flip flops, and open-toed shoes are NOT permitted.
Jewelry:
- Earrings larger than a quarter are not permitted.
